The deputies have sent a request to the Russian Ministry of Foreing Affairs with a proposal to raise the issue of turning off the internet connection on the territory controlled by the terrorists. Such a move will positively affect internet security, according to the first Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Vadim Den’gin.
Earlier, the deputy of one of the leading Duma factions asked the Ministry to create an international platform which would raise a question of cutting off internet connection on the territory seized by Daesh.
“It’s a good idea to involve an international community… This topic is really very important. But how can we sort it out at international level?”, Vadim Dengin said.
The deputy added that he had previously offered to create an international cyber-Interpol in Russia with headquarters in Moscow, “to be able to successfully deal with various terrorist and extremist manifestations.”
