The Ukrainian authorities have complained about the entry of Israeli citizens into Crimea and promised to impose sanctions against Israeli companies which continue to work on the peninsula.

The corresponding statement of the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel has been published on its official website. According to the statement, the Embassy has received information about numerous cases of entry of Israeli citizens into Crimea and their commercial activity in cooperation with local authorities without getting permission from the Ukrainian government. The Embassy promised that in case of Israeli citizens continue visiting Crimea, they will be persecuted by the competent authorities of Ukraine. They also added that they could impose sanctions on Israeli legal entities.
