The representative of the US Treasury Department Adam Shubin said the Syrian President Bashar Assad bought crude oil from ISIS.
According to Shubin, Turkey and the Kurds are also involved in oil trade with ISIS.
In total, for the last year ISIS has received 500 million dollars due to the oil trade and billions of dollars from the banks on the occupied territories.
Earlier the Russian authorities accused Turkey of getting cheap fuel from terrorists, but Turkish officials denied all charges.
At the same time the US State Department says that most of oil transactions are taking place inside Syria, but Russian Defense Ministry called the US statements “patronage of contraband.”
In July this year the US Treasury calculated the revenue of ISIS. According to the ministry, ISIS receives 40 million dollars per month just from the oil trade.
