According to the Swiss newspaper “Tribune de Geneve”, the Europeans spend their money on clothes of western brands that in fact supports ISIS financially.
The edition reports that the terrorists earn not only on illegal oil trade, but also on the sales of cotton, which is one of the main natural resources of Syria.
“Tribune de Geneve” claimes that the mainstream of cotton sold by the terrorists to Europe goes through Turkey. ‘There it goes through a chain of intermediaries and in the end gets into the hands of the producers of Western clothing brands who are more concerned about the quality of raw materials, rather than its origin’, the magazine writes.
Thus, the clothes that Europeans buy gives additional financial resources to ISIS.
The main source of funding for ISIS is illegal sales of crude oil. By selling oil the terrorists earn about two million dollars per day. The Turkish opposition claimes that Turkey has become the major customer of illegal oil trade with ISIS.
