During the meeting politicians discussed the situation in the Middle East. According to the Russian leader, the situation in the region is not easy at all. ‘The situation in the region is difficult, if not to say complicated,’ the head of the state said. At the same time he noted that is glad to have an opportunity to speak on this subject with the Kuwaiti monarch.
In turn, the Emir thanked the President for his hospitality. He also expressed condolences over the crash of Airbus A321 in Egypt, according to the Kremlin website. ‘Let me personally express condolences on my own behalf, on behalf of the Government and people of Kuwait in connection with the collapse of the Russian aircraft in Egypt. We share with you the pain of loss’, Al-Sabah said.
Airbus A321 of the airline “Kogalymavia”, flying out from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed on the 31 of October in Sinai. There were 224 people on the board. No one managed to survive.
