Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM): Putin’s approval rating has reached almost 90%

Sociologists point out that for more than a year and a half the assessment of the President of the Russian Federation has been above 80%.

Approval rating of Vladimir Putin as the president of Russia amounted to 89.9% in October. These data are presented in the study of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center. According to sociologists, a new indicator has updated the previous maximum recorded in June of this year (89.1%).

‘Such a high level of a job approval of the Russian president is recorded primarily in connection with the events in Syria, as well as the Russian aircraft air strikes on positions of terrorists,’ the report of VTsIOM says .
