The head of German intelligence did not rule out the possibility of penetration of terrorists disguised as refugees in the EU.
Earlier, the Sunday Express newspaper reported that more than 4 thousand fighters of the terrorist organization “Islamic state” under the guise of refugees entered the countries of the European Union.
“It is likely that terrorists under the guise of refugees will try to enter the territory of the EU”. This was stated by the head of Germany’s Federal intelligence service (BND) Gerhard Schindler on Monday in an interview with German newspaper Bild.
“At now we have no evidence that among refugees from the Middle East and from Africa there are terrorists. However, we cannot completely exclude the possibility that terrorists will use available opportunities for penetration in Europe,” he said.
The Schindler believes that the Islamists are unlikely to try to enter the European Union in the number of refugees that are risking their lives getting to the continent by sea. “Without doubt, it will be much easier to do it by buying a plane ticket using a fake or stolen documents,” he said.
Earlier, the British newspaper the Sunday Express reported that the extremists of the terrorist group “Islamic state”, taking advantage of the hospitality of the governments in Europe, have already sent thousands of militants to EU.
