Today Mumia Abu Jamal is celebrating his birthday. Mumia is a famous journalist, writer and activist of American Black Community. He was trialed for a murder, planned and executed by US Government to weaken the Black Community, and spent on the death row over 30 years.
Unfortunately, still in prison, under constant danger due to failure of US Penitentiary to provide adequate medical support and proper treatment along with diet, which is essential in order to relief his diabetes.
Bill Dores notified us that “while all of the 2.3 million prisoners in US concentration camps suffer from medical neglect, this was an attempted assassination. He was on death row for nearly 30 years but courts finally ruled he could not be executed because of irregularities at his trial. But they refused to release him”.
However medical negligence was not the only fear supporters of Mumia share. Bill continues “When he was taken off death row and put into general population, the prosecutor who framed him publicly encouraged other prisoners to kill him. But the prisoners love and support him. So now they are trying to murder him by medical neglect.”
Today, April 24 Mumia’s 61st birthday. All around US marches and demonstrations will be held these days, to commemorate the date, and hopefully, force US Government to release Mumia.
SI is congratulating Mumia Abu Jamal, willing him fastest recovery and freedom he deserves! According to our information, the Antiglobalization movement of Russia is planning to hold protest in front of US Embassy.
