For Thierry Meyssan, the Sarkozy trial for illegal financing of the 2007 presidential campaign is unfair

Published on

Voltaire Network |

In an interview with the Courrier des stratèges, Thierry Meyssan protested against the principle of the trial of [former French President] Nicolas Sarkozy for illegal financing of his 2007 presidential campaign. Far from disputing the facts, he observes that the law can only be legitimate if it applies identically to all. However, according to him, Libya paid €50 million to Nicolas Sarkozy, but another €25 million to his rival, who alone was not worried.

Thierry Meyssan had already testified for Judge Serge Tournaire, but the latter had not seen fit to attach his deposition to the file, probably because he had not found it precise enough.
