The Ninth Summit of the Americas is to be held in Los Angeles in June. However, Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela were not invited by Washington and will be excluded.

A vast movement to boycott the summit is taking shape around the Caribbean states, Mexico and Brazil aimed at repudiating the attitude of the United States.

In this context, Washington is partially lifting embargo measures against Cuba and is preparing to reopen oil export negotiations with Venezuela.
