Santiago Solari takes charge of first Real Madrid training session

Santiago Solari has taken charge of his first training session with Real Madrid following the sacking of Julen Lupetegi.

The 42-year old Argentine who has been promoted from Real Madrid “B” team, replaces Lupetegi on a temporary basis, in the aftermath of the horrendous 5-1 defeat at Camp Nou.

Solari’s interim spell, meets a run of 4 games in 12 days starting with the third division Melilla in the Copa-Del-Rey, plus 2 La Liga fixtures against Valladolid and Celta Vigo. They will then take on Czech’s Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League.
