The Russian president’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, chose not to give comments on detention of Russian citizens in the United States, who are suspected of illegal export of technologies from the US.

“Not yet,” he said in response to a request from reporters, will he comment on the detention. “What I know for sure is that there has not been respective notification of our diplomatic representation, or rather the consular service.”

The press secretary said the Russian side “has fixed such actions have not been done.”

“As for the rest, I simply do not have legal details,” he added.

TASS reported earlier, that the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco had not received official notification from the US side of two Russian nationals arrested in Denver (Colorado) – Dmitry Karpenko, 33, and Alexey Krutilin of 27.

Earlier information was about arrest of an American, a native Russian, Alexey Baryshev on charges with “illegal export of technologies from the United States.” The prosecution claims the American and Russians have conspired in order to obtain from producers and suppliers in the US cutting-edge microelectronics with the purpose of further export to Russia, evading the US licensing system.
