Developing Russian-Japanese relations in science, technologies and innovations is one of the components of successful implementation of the eight-point plan of economic cooperation proposed by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said on Sunday.
Talking at the opening of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum in Kyoto, Dvorkovich said: “Our leaders agreed to implement the plan of economic cooperation proposed by Mr Abe. I am confident that one of the components of successful implementation of this plan will be development of bilateral relations in the spheres of science, technology and innovations.”
The deputy prime minister reminded that the cooperation plan envisages the implementation of investment projects in eight different spheres – energy, industry, healthcare, agriculture, urban planning, small and medium business, high-tech, humanitarian exchanges. “Today Russia and Japan are working together on strengthening bilateral relations,” he stressed.
The Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum opens in Kyoto on Sunday. Over 1,500 scientists, political and public leaders from more than 150 countries will take part in the forum. The Russian delegation
