Russian bombers Tu-22M3 and Su-34 attacked positions of ISIS in Syria after taking off from the airport in Iran, the Ministry of Defense of Russia reports.
The Defense Ministry confirmed the deployment of Russian military aviation on the territory of Iran. In addition, aerospace forces have already begun to perform combat tasks taking off from the Iranian airport Hamadan to attack the positions of terrorists in Syria.
The Ministry added that bombers Su-30SM and SU-35S were responsible for the fighter cover, which were based on the Syrian Hmeymin airbase.
Earlier, the Iranian media said that the journalists noticed Russian bombers Tu-22M3 which were deployed for air strikes on the positions of Islamic state.
