The President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of congratulations U.S. President Barack Obama on the occasion of the U.S. national holiday the Independence Day, the Kremlin’s press-service reports.
On the day of the main holiday in the United States, Vladimir Putin said that the two countries would succeed in equal cooperation and mutual respect. “The history of Russian-American relations shows that, acting on an equal partnership basis and respecting the legitimate interests of each other, we are able to successfully solve the most complex international problems for the benefit of the peoples of both countries and humanity, the President of Russia said in his telegram.
Earlier it was reported that President Barack Obama had offered the Russian Federation to conclude a new agreement on military cooperation in Syria, which would provide for closer cooperation in the fight against terrorist group of “Islamic state”.
