European Aviation Safety Agency recommended international airlines to use two air corridors of the Simferopol flight information region, as it had seen the reduction of risks for safety in Crimean sky after joining of the peninsula to Russia.

This information bulletin was published by EASA on Wednesday.

Previously EASA had advised international carriers to avoid flying over the Crimea because of territorial disputes between Russia and Ukraine which led to a disagreement on air rights over the peninsula.

However, in the newsletter it is noted that Ukraine is the only internationally recognized government to ensure air traffic in the Simferopol flight information region. In this regard, EASA recommends airlines to use aeronautical information provided by Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Russian side informs that Crimean air space is controlled and served by Russia.

Full service of air traffic in the Simferopol started on 3 of April, 2014.
