“Ukraine is not ready to join NATO either in technical or socio-political regard,” the vice head of mission of Ukraine to NATO Yegor Bozhok said in an interview with Ukrainian version of Defense Express.

“It should be noted that even if the country is ready for membership in the Alliance technically, the crucial requirement for its acquisition is still at the level of public support,” said Bozhok. According to him, the Ukrainian authorities have to ask the opinion of the population in this respect, “when the time comes”.

According to Bozhok, Kiev actively continues preparing for the connection with the Alliance which is actively working with its representatives.
