In the light of propaganda which continues to be promoted by the Ukrainian authorities, we would like to draw your attention to the information provided by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation about the following provocations prepared by Kiev.

Ukrainian authorities completed their preparations for provocations involving the civilian population, in particular, in the cities of Konotop and Trostyanets in the Sumy region, as well as in Borodyanka and Katyuzhanka in the Kiev region.

In addition, the Kiev regime is preparing yet another provocative set-up involving the death of civilians, allegedly as a result of actions of the Russian Armed Forces. To this end, the Ukrainian nationalists shelled the village of Dergachi in the Kharkiv region, after which they filmed the destroyed buildings and “numerous killed civilians” – for sharing with Western media. The representatives of the Western news agencies participated in the preparation of the provocation while the overall control of the operations was ensured by the servicemen of the 72nd Centre of Information and Psychological Operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. All the civilian participants in the staging and filming received a reward.

We hope that this information will be carefully considered by all Security Council members and help them to avoid being subject to manipulations and disinformation on the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
