Protest shut down in Indian ruled Kashmir has entered its second month. India has maintained its security clampdown and communication blackout in the region; while people have maintained a closedown.

By shutting business, shunning schools , closing shops and public transport people here express their resentment against what they call Indies’ unilateral decision of stripping Kashmir of its special status.

In the process of maintaining law and order of volatile Kashmir, analysts say New Delhi has failed to reach out to the people of Kashmir

India has imposed a tough crackdown on Indian ruled Kashmir by arresting thousands including top politicians. In its move to strengthen the crackdown the government has booked a three time former chief minister and parliament member of Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah under the Public safety act.

At a time when the situation in Kashmir has reached a critical moment, people of Kashmir say world has failed to address their issue. They pledge to maintain their resilience till the world realizes their struggle.
