Germany have bounced back from last week’s defeat to claim top-spot in Group C of Euro 2020 qualifiers, after beating Northern Ireland 2-nil in Belfast.

Following a first-half dominated by the hosts, Germany turned the game on its head soon after the restart, when Marcel Halstenberg opened his international account with an eye-catching volley.

The night could’ve ended differently with both teams squandering opportunities, but Serj Nabry's late strike made the difference, as Germany breathed new life into their qualification campaign.

They are now level with Northern Ireland on 12 points at the top of the table.
