More than 400 families were displaced from villages in Syria's Idlib southern countryside fearing Russian and Syrian air strikes that resumed on Sunday, Syrian Observatory For Human Rights reported.
Video uploaded to social media websites purported to show Idlib residents driving by trucks and vans loaded with their belongings towards the border areas.
An unidentified resident fleeing the southern countryside said in the video that Russian forces had hit with airstrikes, barrel bombs and artillery shelling.
Russian and Syrian jets resumed intensive strikes in Idlib and Hama on Sunday, residents and rescuers said, as Damascus stepped up its assault on the rebels' last major stronghold.
