The United Nations is becoming aware of the barbaric crimes that the Israeli regime commits against the Palestinian people, says a commentator.
“The international community is beginning to wake up to the severity and barbarity of Israeli attacks on these poor people imprisoned in Gaza and effectively imprisoned in the West Bank as well,” James Thring, a peace advocate and political commentator, told Press TV on Monday.
The United Nations is the only world body, which can stand against Israeli crimes and “the United Nations Security Council could overturn America’s vetoes on any resolution to condemn America’s support for Israel,” Thring added.
On June 13, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution, sponsored by Turkey and Algeria, condemning Israel for Palestinian civilian deaths in the Gaza Strip.
