This was announced by the President of the Belarusian Paralympic Committee Oleg Shepel.
“As the head of the Paralympic Committee of Belarus, I’m not going to be silent either here or in Brazil. I ordered to carry Belarusian and Russian flags together at the opening ceremony in Rio. They will definitely be there.”
“I’m sure that in about six months the Paralympic Committee of Russia will receive apologies… They don’t know that difficulties make Russians stronger,” Shepel said.
Earlier, the International Arbitration for Sport dismissed the appeal from Russian Paralympians, which means that Russian Paralympic athletes will not be able to participate in the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio on September 7-18.
