Russia needs to conduct its policy in response to sanctions imposed by Western countries, 70% of Russians think, according to the research center “Levada”.
70% of Russians want the government to continue the antisanctions policy in response to restrictions imposed by Western countries.
The remaining 20% of the respondents speak in favor of the necessity of compromise in order to ease the sanctions. 33% of Russians believe that the Russian counter-sanctions primarily hit the West more than Russia.
But 15% of respondents say the opposite. 42% of respondents believe that imposed bilateral sanctions hurt both Russia and the West in equal measure. 72% of respondents believe that the restrictions had an impact on the country’s economy. Meanwhile, 20% of Russians believe that the sanctions did not affect the economic system of Russia.
