William Engdahl, an American German historian, economic researcher, and freelance journalist, in his recent article writes that Russia has become the first country to ban the cultivation of GMO products and the import of soybeans and corn from the United States. This decision relies on the fact that the entire American market is flooded with products containing GMO.
These crops are used worldwide for feeding cattle because of high protein GMO-containing legumes. However, the consequences for human health can be catastrophic after such a “diet“.
The author notes that the annual damage exceeds $ 100 million to the Russian economy from such products.
Russia has become the first country to declare such measures. For example, in China about 60% beans contain GMOs, despite a ban on cultivation of such products.
We can expect that soon the example of Russia will be followed by other countries. It will inflict significant damage to U.S. agricultural giants which deliberately export extremely dangerous products abroad.
