The operation in Syria confirmed high combat capabilities of the Russian air force, the Russian Defense Minister, General of Army Sergey Shoygu, said on Tuesday.
According to him, “the implementation of the development projects and construction of airspace forces allowed us to have self-sufficient groups of aviation at all strategic directions which are able to reliably solve problems as intended”.

“High combat capabilities of the Russian airspace forces were confirmed during the operation in Syria,” the Minister said stressing that Russian bombers carried out daily strikes at the bases of terrorists, their command points and other objects.
