Russia has registered a cure for Ebola, according to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. That was reported on Monday during a meeting with the members of the Russian government.
Earlier the head of Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, chief state sanitary doctor of Russia Anna Popova said that the Russian vaccine against Ebola virus is being prepared for clinical trials.
“Today we are in the phase of registration and preparation for clinical trials,” she said.
Popova also added that the vaccine will be tested while vaccinating the Russians who are traveling to the virus-infected regions.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 11,000 people became the victims of the ever largest outbreak of Ebola virus in Africa in 2014.
