‘China and Russia cooperate closely in the fight against the terrorist threat. Special forces of the countries regularly exchange information for a more effective cooperation in the fight against terrorism’, the Russian Ambassador in China Andrei Denisov said on Tuesday. According to Denisov, “this is a good partnership”.
‘Bilateral anti-terrorist cooperation is steadily developing and giving its results, especially in the context of information exchange,’ Denisov said. The ambassador points out that Moscow and Beijing are developing cooperation to combat terrorism in all directions, both through international and regional organizations. Among these organizations being used for cooperation, the ambassador called the United Nations. He also added that SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) has a special permanently functioning anti-terrorism body that “brings together all the countries of the SCO for a serious work”.
‘The Ambassador noted that the practice of conducting joint exercises to counteract terrorism proves the increase of confidence between the countries’, “RIA Novosti” wrote on Tuesday.
