It smells like double standards in Syria again.

Published on

After President Putin’s speech within the scope of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly many authorities have called it as “Syrian”. In New-York Putin remembered about experience of the states of antihitlerite coalition. Politic and socio-economic difficulties were pushed to the sidelines. It seemed that Putin could reach out even to the Americans. Afterwards Russia and USA came to an agreement that ISIS is a common enemy. Both of them are considering cooperation in the field of a struggle with ISIS necessary. Thereby, a strategic common is clear.

But as the saying is “the Devil hides in details”. Washington with its allies and Moscow see the way to final object differently. USA considers that a liquidation of inconvenient Bashar al-Assad’s regime without clear perspectives of future for Syria is absolutely normally. At the same time Russia tries to ask the question: “What will happen tomorrow?”

USA didn’t use to ask this question and they don’t want to do it now. They want one thing – to get out of the disliked regime. USA doesn’t care about sufferings of millions of the Syrian. Oh, never mind Europe, which is suffering under millions of refugees! USA knows main thing: Bashar al-Assad must go out. But how? It doesn’t matter.

Therefore USA are bombing IS, but aren’t striking targets. And therefore they are shouting about their struggle with terrorism everywhere. But how does it seem in practice?

On Nov. 4th, The Wall Street Journal (incidentally it is an authoritative media, not yellow) wrote that U.S. and its regional allies agreed to increase shipments of weapons and other supplies to help “moderate Syrian rebels”. But as everyone knows, there are no “moderate Syrian rebels”, as almost all of them have gone over to ISIS or ISIS-affiliated groups. In addition these “regional allies” against Assad include the notoriously corrupt dictatorship of Saudi Arabia—which engages in public beheadings at the rate of one every two days, and sharia-law public whippings when not financing the building of mosques in Europeand does many other “democratic” tricks.

Let’s appeal to the original source. This is a part of the announced article from The Wall Street Journal.

“In the past month of intensifying Russian airstrikes, the CIA and its partners have increased the flow of military supplies to rebels in northern Syria, including of U.S.-made TOW antitank missiles, these officials said. Those supplies will continue to increase in coming weeks, replenishing stocks depleted by the regime’s expanded military offensive.

In addition to the arms the U.S. has agreed to provide, Saudi and Turkish officials have renewed talks with their American counterparts about allowing limited supplies of shoulder-fire man-portable air-defense systems, or Manpads, to select rebels”.

In other words, the Obama regime is making sophisticated handheld weaponry available to so-called “rebels” in Syria, in the full knowledge that almost all of these “rebels” have gone over to ISIS. At the same time Obama says he is fighting against IS’ terrorists. Pardon me, but it smells like double standards. Oh, it doesn’t smell, it stinks like that so much!!!

Obama should read the article «A path out of Middle East Collapse» was written by former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and have been published in The Wall Street Journal recently. This article was made a careful by many powerful figures. The White House should have done it too.

Kissinger wrote in his article: “So long as ISIS survives and remains in control of a geographically defined territory, it will compound Middle East tensions… The destruction of ISIS is more urgent than the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad”.

USA, hi! Take these wise words to heart and refuse the policy of double standards.
