‘At the G20 summit Russia gave examples of how some individuals from 40 countries, including from countries of “twenty”, are funding the terrorists from ISIS’, Vladimir Putin said on Monday.
‘The funding of ISIS, as we’ve established, goes from 40 countries, including some countries of “twenty”,’ RIA “Novosti” quoted Putin. He said that this issue was raised at the summit of “twenty” in Antalya. ‘The fight against terrorism was one of the key questions at the G20 summit. We need to stop the financing of ISIS’, he said.
‘ We discussed the need of the enforcement of the relevant UN Security Council resolution on prevention of financing of terrorism and illegal trade of art objects on the territories under the control of terrorists, which was adopted on the initiative of the Russian Federation, according to the Russian leader.
The President added that at the summit Russia presented satellite images showing the scale of the oil trade with terrorists. Putin expressed hope that the work with colleagues at the G20 in the fight against terrorism would continue.
