The FSB Public Relations Center confirmed that some of the detainees suspected of preparing a terrorist attack in the heart of Moscow arrived from the Middle East. According to intelligence agencies, several detainees were previously trained in the camps of “Islamic state”.

However, they had arrived in Russia much earlier before the Russian anti-terrorist operation in Syria began, that was specified by FSB.

The intelligence agency also clarified exactly where the terrorists planned to carry out a terrorist attack. During the interrogation two detainees revealed that they intended to carry out a terrorist attack on public transport in Moscow.

On Sunday, the information center of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee of Russia reported that the security authorities detained a group of people involved in the preparation of a terrorist act in one of the houses in the Central Administrative District of Moscow.

The Public Relations Center also recalled that earlier FSB found a group of Russian citizens who were preparing a terrorist attack in the Moscow region. During the inspection 5 kg of explosive based on ammonium nitrate were found out. During the subsequent search of the apartments where potential terrorists stayed industrial production scale to accurately measure the proportions of the components of explosives, means of mobile communication, tools and instructions for assembling an improvised explosive device were discovered.
