From first September, all companies must keep personal data of our citizens in Russia.
But to transfer this data for temporary use abroad is not prohibited. If companies want to keep the files, they will have to place it on servers in Russia. Otherwise they will be included in the Register of violators of personal data storage low, and their Internet site will be blocked.

The inclusion in the register only came into legal force with the judicial act. A statement to the court can be addressed not only by citizen, but by Roskomnadzor (special agency)  and the Prosecutor. After the court decision the maximum period to complete the lock will be 6 working days.  The deadline for correcting the violation is determined by an official and may not exceed 6 months.

Until December 31, 2015 Roskomnadzor plans to hold 317 audits of companies.
