The administration of U.S. President Barack Obama is developing a package of economic sanctions against Chinese companies and entrepreneurs who are supposed to be benefited because of hackers breaking into databases with information on business secrets of the United States.
Lately there was a decree of the President Barack Obama that allows to freeze the accounts of foreign individuals and entities suspected of hacking. According to the Washington Post, “the government has not yet decided whether to implement the sanctions or not, but it is expected that the final decision will be made soon, possibly within the next two weeks.” However, the newspaper noted that the White house refused to comment on the details of such sanctions.
A source in the presidential administration explained that such an action would send a signal to China, and to American businessmen.
But the real causes of this actions are probably in political field. It must be another stage of economical and political pressure on China.
