Uhuru: Justice For Sandra Bland

Published on

Sandra Bland’s murder at the hands of the Waller County, Texas police makes it all too clear that the US is waging a vicious colonial terror campaign against the entire African community within US borders, even as this same US led imperialist system wages war on the oppressed peoples of the planet from Iraq to Nigeria and pushes its aggression into eastern Europe in a desperate attempt to maintain its vice grip on the resources of the peoples of the Earth.

But history demonstrates that all empires fall. So shall be the case with US imperialism, but what kind of world will replace this world of an imperialism in crisis?
The Uhuru Solidarity Movement is an organization of primarily European and Euro- American or white people who work under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party. We go into our own communities and build support for liberation, self- determination and reparations to African people.

The current demand coming from the African population within US borders is #BlackCommunityControlOfPolice, a just and democratic demand that is hastening the defeat of US imperialism at home and abroad. We must be organized in solidarity with the colonized and oppressed if we hope to see a world based on self- determination and human solidarity. The demand for black community control of the police has become international, and we salute the comrades of the Anti- Globalization Movement- Russia for spreading this demand throughout the world and for generously hosting the Chairman of the African People’s Socialist Party, Omali Yeshitela, in Moscow, Russia for a historic trip that forged deep unity between the Russian people and African people in the US ands throughout the world.

Reparations in Action is the weekly online radio show of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement and we were honored to interview comrade Alexander Ionov from the Anti-globalization Movement of Russia about the increasing US attacks on Russia and aggression in Ukraine as well as the historical context for these attacks last Sunday.
This Sunday, July 26th at 1pm, US EST on UhuruRadio.com, Reparations in Action host, Jamie Simpson, speaks to African People’s Socialist Party USA representative Omowale Kefing about the situation on the ground in Walller County, Texas following the murder of Sandra Bland. In the second half of the show we will hear from Herdosia Bentum, a Ferguson freedom fighter and organizer of the InPDUM,  St Louis ( International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement ). Comrade Herdosia will report on the ongoing struggle against increased police murders and terror against the heroic African community of Ferguson, MO. and the struggle for Black Community Control of the police. Please tune in this Sunday and help us overturn this parasitic system from within the belly of the beast!
Uhuru means Freedom!
