Crazy leader of Lebanese Druze Walid Jumblatt of the Progressive Socialist Party has attacked Putin, writing in his twitter: “If anyone is responsible for violence in Syria, it is a politician Czar Putin, whom desperately trying to support oppressive Bashar Assad”. Walid Jumblatt is famous for being pendulum, selling out for whoever pays more.
In response, Lebanese Orthodox party Al Mashriq represented by its Chairman Rodrigue Khoury made a statement:
«Dearly respected Jumblatt, after your praising of ISIS and attacking of President Putin and Christians in general, I’d like to ask you couple of questions:
- Do you consider Mr. Putin, who supports cultural and religious pluralism, a criminal, yet calling ISIS, who killed thousands of Druzes in Idlib suburbs, who kidnapped Christian nuns, and soldiers of Lebanese army, freedom fighters?
- Have you ever thought that if not Putin’s war on terrorism, against ISIS consisting of Chechens, Turks and Afghans, ISIS would force you to refuse your traditions, forget your religion, or be killed, just like it happened to Druzes of Qalb Lowza, where every Druze was killed by ISIS?
- Have you ever thought that if not Putin, you and all your people would be forced to leave this land and become a refugee?
We, people who care about you, ask this question: why are you always open fire against those, thanks to whom you are alive today, while praising those, who kill your people?
Shall your political stance be result of your political revenues, what is your revenue in victory of ISIS? Who guarantees you that you will not be slaughtered and your head cut off as being infidel to ISIS?
Shall your political stance be result of a fear against the strongest, then you should know, that Russia is stronger, more noble, and more truthful with its allies than any Western country!”
